Is Democracy Broken in Oklahoma?

Our state too often ranks in the bottom  for participation in the  political process and the health and well-being of citizens. What’s holding Oklahomans back, and how can we fix it?
That’s the focus of “Together Tuesdays”, a statewide tour sponsored by the Together Oklahoma coalition. The Oklahoma Policy Institute’s Kara Joy McKee and Damario Solomon-Simmons are visiting cities and towns across the state and inviting all Oklahomans to think about tough issues and the solutions that work for busy people. The first stop of our Together Tuesdays Tour is Together: Spetemeber 23rd in Enid, Oklahoma at Five80 Coffee House located at 122 E. Randolph Ave., from 5:00-6:30pm.

Together Oklahoma is a nonpartisan education and advocacy group connecting Oklahoma values to state budget priorities. Learn more about Together Oklahoma and this event by going to togetherok.org.  You can also find us on Facebook and Twitter.

Damario Solomon-Simmons  proudly serves as the legislative liaison for Together Oklahoma and Oklahoma Policy Institute.
