Damario Solomon-Simmons is featured in the recently released Al JazeeraAmerica in-depth story about the Greenwood Massacre erroneously known in history as the Tulsa Race Riot.  The powerful piece written by Dexter Mullins is entitled Survivors of Infamous 1921 Tulsa race riot  Still Hope for Justice, and rightfully sheds some light on  the worst domestic terrorist action in the history of this country.  Mr. Mullin’s piece also discusses  the over 11 year efforts by a group of dedicated historians, attorneys, politicians, and community activist who have been fighting for Greenwood and its descendants to received proper remembrance, respect, and reparations.

“It is always an honor and blessing to have an opportunity to help tell the Greenwood story to the world, and bring attention to the fact that 93 years later their still has not been one penny paid to the survivors of the Greenwood Massacre…so I appreciate Dexter for writing such a passionate and well-researched article.  It is my hope this article will help bring some redress to the few survivors that are still living” states Solomon-Simmons.
