Source: Tulsa World

It is being reported by Edmond police that former Oklahoma State football player Justin Blackmon was arrested Wednesday night in Edmond for possession of marijuana. The arresting officers alleged that the officers smelled marijuana coming from Blackmon’s car during a routine traffic stop. , according to Edmond police.

Blackmon, a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, is suspended indefinitely by the NFL for repeated violations of the league’s substance abuse policy. Blackmon is serving his second suspension from the NFL for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

As always, I believe everyone is innocent until proven guilty and Blackmon deserves the same benefit of the doubt.  However, if these charges are true. This incident once again proves what I have been saying for the last three years: Justin Blackmon needs to focus all of his energy and time getting help for his substance addictions  and whatever underlying issues that are causing his dependence and abuse of drugs and alcohol.  Then and only then should the NFL be a concern of his again.
